Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 Electric Locomotive is
without doubt one of the most famous designs in
American railroad history. It was designed in 1935
by the renowned designer Raymond Loewy, considered
the "father" of Industrial Design. Many were still
running into the 1980's, but sadly all are now retired,
with some in museums but most survivors rusting
away in salvage yards.
I created the CAD model in SolidWorks™ from extensive
research, drawings and photographs. The renderings
were done in KeyShot 3 Pro, with HDRI lighting created
in HDR LightStudio. My model, as are many, is available
in the .obj format for use in film or Computer Graphics
Imaging (CGI) on the Gould Studios page of www.turbosquid.com.
black-line drawings suitable for framing or model
making, as well as full color Fine Art prints, are
available from our store.
