Rio Grande Southern #11
Locomotive Works 2-6-0, C/N 4336 circa 1878, the Cochetope,
was built for the narrow gauge Denver and Rio Grande
Railroad, working primarily freight service in the Rocky
Mountains of Colorado. She was rebuilt and sold to the
Rio Grande Southern Railroad in January, 1891 and renumbered
RGS ? 11. A Class 40N, she had 41 inch drivers and 12
x 16 inch cylinders, and was among the first with an
eight-wheel two truck tender.
I created the CAD model in SolidWorks™ from extensive
research of original Baldwin Locomotive Works drawings,
erecting cards and blueprints.
Scaled black-line drawings and a full color lithograph
are available from our store.
